Dental Implants

What are Dental Implants?

Missing tooth? No problem! Dental implants provide a permanent solution that looks and functions like natural teeth. A natural tooth consists of a crown and a root, and a dental implant works the same way. The titanium post acts as the tooth root and has an attachable crown on top. Dental implants are durable, improve chewing ability and prevent the shifting of adjacent teeth, giving you confidence in your smile.

The Process

The dental implant process involves several stages. First Dr. Schneider will surgically place a titanium post into the jawbone to serve as the tooth root, which is then left to heal for several months while the bone fuses to it. After a few months of healing, the general dentist makes a custom crown that is secured into the implant.

Why do I need a Dental Implant?

  1. Restored Functionality: A dental implant allows you to chew, speak, and smile with confidence, just like a natural tooth.
  2. Long-Term Solution: Implants are durable and can last a lifetime with proper care, making them a reliable, long-term solution to tooth loss.
  3. Preserved Jawbone Health: Implants stimulate the jawbone, preventing bone loss and helping maintain the natural structure of your face.
